When it comes to sweeteners there are so many options. Each sweetener has it’s pro’s and con’s and different applications where they work best. Although I usually have a few different options on hand here are the two sweeteners I always keep in the pantry.

Granular Stevia with Erythritol

When it comes to using erythritol I am sensitive to the cooling effect that some people complain about. This sweetener is a combination of stevia and erythritol. The addition of the stevia completely eliminates the cooling effect for me in all my favourite recipes. The benefit of this sweetener is also that it is the same sweetness as sugar so you can substitute it one-for-one in any recipe that uses sugar.

Pure Via Liquid Stevia Drops

These drops are great to keep on hand for drinks or anything you’d like to add just a touch of sweetness without worrying about the texture of a granular sweetener. Most restaurants don’t offer a natural sweetener option, so these are great to throw in your purse to add a touch of sweetness to any on-the-go drinks or foods.
