Dairy Free Cleanish Apple CrispBy Amanda BellI created this dairy-free cleanish apple crisp to use up some apples that I had leftover from apple picking with my daughter. Although apples are not low carb, I wanted to create a special dessert that we could eat together without going too far over my carb limit. If you would like to make it even lower in carbs just substitute the apple for zuchini or chayote squash. Enjoy this warm with some sugar free whipped cream or ice cream for a delicious autumn treat!
Nutritional values are not available for this recipe, as values differ depending on the type of apple and nuts you choose to use. Personally, because I ate this as an occasional treat I did not calculate the nutritional values. Instead of worrying about the macros I limited my portion size to approximately the size of an apple so that I would not go too far over my daily carbs.
